“Devote yourself to your community around you and devote yourself to creating something that gives you purpose and meaning.” – Mitch Albom
David has a gift and passion for music. For the past three years, he has graciously shared this gift with others in order to make things better for his community.
Every year, David has invested his time and energy to help raise money for the local Salvation Army, through the Salvation Army Christmas Kettles program. David has shared his passion for music by ringing sleigh bells in perfect timing with enthusiasm and excitement to encourage others in his community to give to those in need during a time of year when the act of giving is celebrated by many.
Not only is his passion and enthusiasm to help contagious, but it has become a way in which he actively participates in and belongs to his community. David has found purpose through his gifts, giving his time to encourage others to give. In this way, he makes his community better. Every year, the Salvation Army hosts a volunteer appreciation dinner, which David and his proud family members attend.
